Growing up in Italy I felt obliged to study ancient Greek and Latin first. Then I attended Chinese and Japanese history/arts/languages classes at my uni — due to the fact that I wanted to get into cultures far away from mine (don't ask me why, Giorgia Meloni). And finally I landed at the Palladio Institute of Design in Verona where I received a degree in Visual Design.
After that, I attended a short but intensive Master's in Communication through illustration, which comes in handy when creating infographics, icon design, and anything illustrative. It ultimately led to me designing comics in my free time for fun and reading graphic novels exclusively.
I don't trust books without pictures.
Later I moved to London where I worked as a Graphic Designer and after two years of vitamin D deficiency, I decided to move to Berlin where I continued to save money on sunscreen.
I have been living here working as a UI/Visual Designer since 2016 - regular skin check-ups included. Lastly, but most importantly, I decided to officialize my transition into UX by completing
the Google UX Design course in December 2023.

When I'm not listening to stand-up comedy podcasts or watching true crime documentaries, I practice kendo. Yes, that old Japanese martial art with the bamboo stick where people scream all the time. I've started doing it only recently as a symbolic reference to a premature mid-life crisis. Cheaper than buying a red convertible car and less mainstream than acro-yoga.
Highly recommendable.
